The New York Times has just endorsed John McCain as the republican nominee for president as opposed to Mitt Romney. This is tantamount to having the Yankees endorsing Gagne as the Red Sox closer over Papalbon. Ann coulter has written an editorial titled “'STRAIGHT TALK' EXPRESS TAKES SCENIC ROUTE TO TRUTH” which is a reference to the so-called straight talking campaign that McCain says he is running but is actually a bold faced lie. Her editorial goes a long way in explaining why the “Old Gray Lady” would want to see a McCain verses any democrat in the general election.
Ann Coulter compares McCain to Bob Dole who was said to be the most “electable” republican at the time;
“Unlike McCain, Dole didn't lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk. Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws.
McCain has also opposed the Bush tax cuts and water-boarding for terrorists…..
McCain joined with the Democrats in demanding O.J. trials for terrorists at Guantanamo, including his demand that the terrorists have full access to the intelligence files being used to prosecute them. These days, McCain gives swashbuckling speeches about the terrorists who "will follow us home." But he still opposes dripping water down their noses. He was a POW, you know. Also a member of the Keating 5 scandal, which you probably don't know, and won't -- until he becomes the Republican nominee.”

"Yes We Can" Find The Truth
A lot has been made of the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon but did you know that Harry Reid, the democrat senate majority leader is also a Mormon? Since religion is playing such an important part in this presidential election, let us look at the junior senator from Illinois, Barack Hussein Obama’s, metamorphic religious history;
Barack Obama was originally named “Baraka.” It is not an African name. It's an Arabic word meaning “blessed” and comes directly from the Koran.

"Interviews with dozens of former classmates, teachers, neighbors and friends show that Obama was not a regular practicing Muslim when he was in Indonesia" – implying he was an irregularly practicing Muslim.
"Obama occasionally followed his stepfather to the mosque for Friday prayers, a few neighbors said" – confirming that he did pray in the mosque.
"Obama's 3rd-grade teacher at the Catholic school, who lived near the family [said that] ‘Rarely, Barry went to the mosque with Lolo'" – confirming that Obama attended mosque services.
All this matters, for if Obama once was a Muslim, he is now what Islamic law calls a murtadd (apostate), an ex-Muslim converted to another religion who must be executed. Were he elected president of the United States, this status, clearly, would have large potential implications for his relationship with the Muslim world.
In sum: Obama was an irregularly practicing Muslim who rarely or occasionally prayed with his step-father in a mosque. This precisely substantiates my statement that he "for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian step-father."
