TO HUCKABEE OR NOT TO HUCKABEE?

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

It is hard to get a handle on this Huckabee phenomenon. He seems like a regular Joe with not a lot of experience but honest and true to his convictions. Perhaps some of the hype is wishful thinking by the left leaning press who are trying to get a weaker candidate nominated by the Republicans to help whatever Democrat survives that political cluster f_ _ _. Whatever the reason, it is interesting to read in a recent article how he is bashing Bush and his foreign policy, calling it an “arrogant bunker mentality”;

"American foreign policy needs to change its tone and attitude, open up, and reach out," Huckabee said. "The Bush administration's arrogant bunker mentality has been counterproductive at home and abroad. My administration will recognize that the United States' main fight today does not pit us against the world but pits the world against the terrorists."- apnews.myway.com

Mr. Huckabee apparently has fallen prey to eight years of Bush bashing and believes that everyone thinks Bush is a “cowboy” and a diplomatic dunce when it come to dealing with foreign nations. What Mr. Huckabee should be doing is learning from one of the greatest leaders in American history, Ronald Reagan, when he said; "Thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican."

President Bush has made plenty of mistakes and his illegal immigration and border policies are a disaster, but for the most part, he is a good leader, and has protected America from terrorism. In retrospect, Bush was certainly a far superior choice compared to the self serving spineless alternatives who opposed him in the last two presidential elections. All Mr. Huckabee is doing by bashing the President is causing fellow Republicans to become defensive to his opinion and giving more political fuel to the left. This could cause concern to anyone thinking of supporting him.

As a former governor of Arkansas, Mr. Huckabee admits he has little if any foreign policy experience;
“Huckabee has previously joked about his lack of experience in international affairs.”I may not be the expert as some people on foreign policy, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night," he said earlier this month.”-apnews.myway.com

This sort of banter reminds me of what those on the left say whenever they are asked how they would handle foreign policies; it is always an answer like, “I will negotiate diplomatically”, or something to that affect.

To put forward his ideas of how he would handle international policies is fine, but not at the expense of others on his side of the political fence. Looking back and blaming and pointing fingers does nothing to instill confidence in a man looking to be the president of the greatest power in the world today. He needs to point out the positives and ignore the negatives. America needs a visionary not another politician running against other people’s supposed flaws. The leader who is constantly looking backwards will fail to see the obstacles ahead and will never be ready to deal with them. As this campaign continues it will be interesting to see if Mr. Huckabee self destructs much like Dean did in 2004. The Holiday Inn might be asking him to stay somewhere else to avoid bad publicity if this keeps up.

I HATE PINKOS, FIGURATIVELY, NOT LITERALLY

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

WARNING: If you are a frail left wing pinko afraid of the truth and having your “feelings” hurt, stop reading right now! I have no sympathy for you and I am not in the least bit “sensitive”. So go roll in the literary excrement that Moveon.org spews or go drink the bile that Media Matters pukes up; I have no respect for you or your kind.

There, now that I have that out of the way, I call for the assassination of Harry Reid, figuratively, not literally and I call for Senator Tom Harkin to be lynched, again figuratively, not literally. Both of these men have knowingly lied before the Senate and the House and they should be liquidated, figuratively, not literally.

I am not going to go into the whole Limbaugh thing and the lies these two cerebral midgets have been spreading about him, if you don’t believe me, use your limited mental resources and look for yourself. What I am going to do is vent my anger, lower myself to the outhouse hole that these two piles of filth dwell in and just enjoy the feelings I am getting from calling them exactly what they are; sweltering, noxious piles of human debris. If this felt any better the lefties would make it illegal.

How many commies have fainted or are hugging each other while weeping pitiful tears of outrage from reading this? Are you seething yet? I already know you feel mentally superior but I want you to know all those things the teachers were telling you about everyone being a winner and we are all the same were lies. You on the left have sunk to new lows and because you never had to try in school, you can’t even begin to reason with any of this. The truth will set you free if you can handle it, if you can’t; you hug a tree, have an intervention, have a group hug, get diagnosed with a mental disability and take prosaic.

I was going to go into long details of what the left is trying to do to Limbaugh and the likes of him, but I changed my mind. Look it up yourself, it is obviously more than Reid and Harkin did or they wouldn’t dare lie like they have been doing. Now it is your turn to feign outrage at me and get up on your pedestal and claim moral superiority. I know better. Besides, with you up on your soap box, you will make a great target and I will shoot you right between the eyes, figuratively, not literally.

HILLARY HEALTH CARE

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

Buying People’s Votes With Their Own Money

We need to get two things straight; the Constitution does not give the government the power to re-distribute wealth for health care, and it doesn’t make health care a “right” for everyone. Mrs. Clinton, being the socialist that she is, lives in a fantasy world where the government runs every aspect of everyone’s lives. She thinks if she uses the government’s largesse to fund another giveaway, namely universal health care, people will flock to her. Everyone needs to understand this one very important point; she is trying to be elected by being benevolent and bribing potential voters with their own money.

Here is how Mrs. Bill Clinton plans to fund her universal health care;

“The front-runner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination said that under her new plan, the federal government would spend $110 billion a year to help employers and individuals pay for insurance. About half of the money would come from repealing tax cuts and tax breaks for people with incomes above $250,000; the rest would be saved through efficiencies in the system”- usatoday.com

She has said there are 47 million people in the United States without health care. So if one does the math, she is saying she is going to insure these now uninsured for about two thousand dollars a year per person. What a bargain. It will be interesting to hear how she will do this at her next news conference where I am sure the media will ask the hard questions and hold her feet to the fire.

(Just one small side note here; do you think the news media would be ignoring the Hsu political donation scandal the way they have been if Mrs. Clinton were a republican?)

Mrs. Bill Clinton is going to take the money from some people and give it to others and she wants everyone to vote for her for doing this. She has been pushing the class warfare thing her entire career and she is hoping it will pay dividends now. The $110 billion will come from “repealing tax cuts and tax breaks for people with incomes above $250,000”. That means a tax increase. We will have money taken from our pockets and then placed into the governments pocket and then given to other people. But that is only going to fund half of her universal health care program; the other half will come from “efficiencies in the system”. A government agency is going to save $55 billion a year through efficiencies? What in Sam Hill is she smoking?

Mrs. Clinton doesn’t have a right to do this, no one does. It is unconstitutional. This type of government run health care has caused huge problems and long waiting lines in every country that has tried it. When the public accepts free health care from the government that isn’t really free, they are put under the rule of their government which means that government can impose any kind of restrictions and demands they want. A man was just denied medical treatment in Great Britain where there is government funded health care for his broken arm because he is a smoker; they have told him to quit. The government is paying, the government sets the rules.

The government can only spend the money they collect from taxes which means from every American. They have no money of their own, they produce nothing and they sell nothing. When politicians tell us how they want new programs, what they are saying is they have found a new way to spend money that isn’t their own and they need more of our money to do it. As long as the public keeps voting for people that want to control more and more of their lives and their money, then they will continue to become more dependent on the government. Every time we allow this to happen, we lose more control over our lives. We must maintain our independence by taking personal responsibility for things like health care or we will someday lose all our freedoms. Mrs. Clinton has to remember that her ideas have been tried before, it was called “communism”.

LIBERALS LIP SYNCHING THE SAME OLD STORIES

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

http://my.mainetoday.com/story.html?ID=1646

There has to be an explanation for why the Democrats are itching for the United States to retreat and ultimately be defeated in Iraq. They have been surrendering for awhile; Harry Reid officially announced that “we have lost the war” and was busy looking for a white flag to wave. The Democrats were dispelling any good news from General Patreas even before he had uttered one syllable to them concerning the war. When it comes to defending our homeland and what it stands for, the left would rather bad mouth their country and apologize for anything and everything, real or imagined; they are weenies.

The real reason the left is so anti-war even when the war is worth fighting and they are anti-America even though it is the only reason they have their freedom to be weenies, is habit. They are products of a generation that gained notoriety and success from being peaceniks and rebelling against the establishment. During their formative years, they were holding up peace signs, demonstrating against war, and railing against their government. They were the lead story on the three networks almost every night and they thought it was cool. They take credit for ending the Vietnam War and for taking down Nixon. So now, they think this same tactic, ending war and taking down a President is going to make them successful again. They never grew up or progressed and they can’t see beyond to the results of their actions.

I don’t think the left and the democrats even know what they are rebelling against, but they are trying to look rebellious because they think it will lead to their success and power. They want to look like the hippies they once were but in a more dignified manor. They want to be the lead story on the news saying; “look at me, I am different, I am rebellious against a corrupt President and I am for peace”. They can’t seem to grasp two facts: 1) the myth that Bush is corrupt isn’t real or catching on with mainstream Americans, and 2) we are fighting an enemy that will do whatever it takes to kill us all. But, when power is what one seeks and one remembers a path that once led to it, one will try that path again. For instance, John Kerry was “reporting for duty!” at the democrat convention in Boston in 2004, but for him, duty wasn’t fighting with the military to defend his country but instead it was fighting against the military because he thinks it corrupt and a tool of evil and it once got him attention.

Perhaps once this generation of narcissistic, self indulgent, self centered, generation of self serving Democrats finally leaves center stage, then the country will be able to look for real leaders from the left, some that actually have principles and stand for something. Maybe the next generation of democrats will run their campaigns on policies, ideas and solutions. As it stands now, they are merely an opposition party that complains and hinders any real progress and seeks power for the sake of having it. But, they can’t be held responsible; they were spoiled and never taught that there might be real consequences to their actions. Perhaps a good spanking at the ballot box in 2008 will wake them up, but I doubt it.

CUMBAYA WITH OSAMA OBAMA HILLARY AND FRIENDS

http://my.mainetoday.com/story.html?ID=1638

This coming campaign season will be in full swing soon, so the talking points will be flowing like Allen’s coffee brandy at a Lewiston bridal shower. Recently online there was a litany of them, here is a summary;

“…spoke to the ongoing situation in Iraq….., heavily criticizing the Bush administration, murderers, [former Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld…”, President Bush's words echo "neoconservatives like Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Richard Perle."…., people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped,… you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose…., listen to the poignant messages of your soldiers in Iraq, who are paying -- with their blood, nerves and scattered limbs….,sacrificing soldiers and populations to achieve the interests of the major corporations…, global warming and "the Kyoto accord….., "the reeling of many of you under the burden of interest-related debts, insane taxes and real estate mortgages; global warming and its woes...,”- abcnews.com

The same old same old and what is to be expected from the likes of Obama, Hillary and the rest of the lefties running for the democratic nomination. But these talking points weren’t uttered by them; instead they were taken from the recent Osama Bin Laden (OBL) tape. The left have more in common with the most wanted terrorist in the world than they do with mainstream America.

The left and OBL want the same thing, surrender in Iraq. In a recent debate in Southern Florida, Bill Richardson said;

“I'd bring them all home within six to eight months”- yahoo.com

Hillary said;

“I believe we should start bringing our troops home,"…. "We need to quit refereeing their civil war and bring our troops home as soon as possible." – yahoo.com

Other leading democrats have also listened to the words of the mastermind of 9-11;

“This president has no plan how to win and/or how to leave," said Biden,….. He said that Bush was putting American troops "into the middle of a civil war to maintain the status quo," adding, "that is unconscionable, and he's wrong." Biden, too, made a Vietnam allusion, saying he believed "absolutely, positively, unequivocally," that absent a change of course, helicopters would be evacuating Americans from the Green Zone in Baghdad within two years.”- iht.com

“This administration is playing for delay," Kennedy said on the CBS. He called that "completely unacceptable."-iht.com

“Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, said that while U.S. troops had scored successes in parts of Iraq, it was dangerous to think this could readily be replicated nationwide.”You can take a tactical success and misread it, as we did in Vietnam," he said on ABC.”-iht.com

“They repeatedly criticized the statistics showing progress in Iraq and they insisted that success in Iraq depended on political reconciliation that had been promised but failed to materialize.”- iht.com

“This is the president's war," he (Biden) said on NBC. "Unless we get 67 votes to override his veto, there's nothing we can do to stop this war, but we must, we must, we must protect these troops."- iht.com

“Today, terrorism is worse in Iraq, and it's worse around the world," Edwards said in a speech at Pace University. "It means the results are in on George Bush's so-called global war on terror and it's not just a failure, it's a double-edged failure."- iht.com

Is it any wonder the terrorists are emboldened everyday to continue there efforts to kill innocent people, terrorize entire nations and continue their insane pursuits of a one world government ruled by islamo-facists? The leaders of half the population of the United States are striving for surrender to these mass serial killers and it is for their own selfish political gains.

At some point there has to be reconciliation between those who would spread terror and those that want freedom. What the left fails to realize is that the side that wins through force and dominants will determine the terms of that reconciliation. In the halls of the academic elite, in their perfect world, negotiations can end war because they deem everyone to be reasonable. But are those that fly planes into buildings filled with innocent people, those that blow up buses filled with children, those that saw the heads off of people because they wont join their religion, are they to be reasoned with?

When this war ends, we will either be victorious or women will be wearing burkas and everyone will be facing east and praying twenty times a day. Even those on the left….and they will have no choice.

HILLARY, IT IS TIME TO GO

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

“Craig steps down from top committee posts”- Headline, Politico.com

I applaud this move by Senator Craig, it is the least he can do having pled guilty to “disorderly conduct” (even though he now says he shouldn’t have) in the sexual solicitation scandal that he has become famous for;

“Craig stepped down as the ranking Republican on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee and on two subcommittees - one on appropriations and another on energy and natural resources.”- Politico.com

His fellow Republicans are calling for further actions, asking him to resign entirely from the senate;

“fellow Republicans called for his ( Senator Craig’s) resignation….Several Republicans called for Mr. Craig to resign, among them Senators John McCain of Arizona and Norm Coleman of Minnesota and Representative Peter Hoekstra of Michigan…Mr. Coleman issued a statement saying Mr. Craig had pleaded guilty to “a crime involving conduct unbecoming a senator,” adding, “He should resign.”- The New York Times

I now challenge the Democrats to do the same with Senator Hillary Clinton. She is giving back money raised by Mr. Hsu;

“Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign said yesterday that it would give to charity $23,000 it had received from a prominent Democratic donor, and review thousands of dollars more that he had raised, after learning that the authorities in California had a warrant for his arrest stemming from a 1991 fraud case.”- New York Times

Mr. Hsu is a convicted felon who failed to show for his sentencing for grand theft fifteen years ago and has since then raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Democrats, including Mrs. Clinton. Fortunately for Mrs. Clinton, the Craig story, which by the way is really three months old but only made it into the main stream press as the Hillary- Hsu connection also came to light, broke on the same week end this story did. What good timing, kind of reminds me of the time Bill Clinton bombed the aspirin factory the same week that big news on the Monica story broke.

So where is the outcry from other Democrats and the main stream media? Will she be asked to step down from committees she is on and will she resign? Not bloody likely. Quite a double standard and just one of the hundreds of examples of the hypocrisies of the left and the left winged biased media.

The Right will force guys like Foley and Craig to resign because they hate hypocrisy. The Democrats are walking, breathing, living examples of hypocrisy and that is why conservatives generally dislike them.

John Edwards’s calls for Americans to give up their SUV’s and then drives off in his own Escalade. Al Gore screams about global warming and carbon footprints but has an energy hog of a house and flies in private jets (meanwhile a company he is heavily involved in is selling carbon credits). Barney Frank had a male prostitution ring run from his Washington home and has been in the House with very little repercussions. Ted Kennedy killed a girl and is a prominent Senator. The list goes on and on; William Jefferson, Democrat from Louisiana, caught taking bribes and with $90,000.00 in cash in his freezer, Senator Byrd of West Virginia is a former KKK member, need I continue?

We are continually reminded by the main stream press about Nixon and Watergate, Trent Lott and his comments about Strom Thurmond, and Foley and his gay emails. When is the last time you heard anything on any main stream media about any of the Democrat’s peccadilloes?

The Democrats run the House and Senate and have called for the end of the “culture of corruption”. They talk the talk but it is more mindless blabbering to their kool-aid drinking zombies. Do you wonder why both houses of congress only have an eighteen percent approval rating? The republican haven’t done a lot right but at least their standards are higher and they hold their people to them. I call for the Democrats to do the same with Hillary the first to go. If she can’t keep track of who is giving her money, how can she possibly run a country?

HOW MANY CHINAMEN DOES IT TAKE TO ELECT A CLINTON?

For two days the two lead stories every hour on the radio from CNN and CBS have been the Gonzales resignation and the Senator Craig scandal. The Gonzales story allows those on the left a great opportunity for sound bites about how corrupt the Bush administration is and how everyone is abandoning a scandal riddled President. Senator Craig wanted a little man love in the men’s room and now he is the poster child for hypocritical conservatives. In the scheme of things, neither story is worth more then a tag line for the democrats but the media deems them both worthy of endless coverage so it will continue to tell the stories.

One story I haven’t heard at all on any news media outlet is the one about Hillary and the strange donations she has been receiving. I noticed it first on the Drudge report and then later in the day it was mentioned on a talk radio show, but not once was any light shed on it in any news report. And so, in an effort to enlighten those unable to search news outlets for “the rest of the story”, here is what Mrs. Clinton has been up to;

The story tells of a family of Asian immigrants who have been donating substantial amounts of money to Hillary as well as other democrats. They live in a modest green bungalow….

“that lies under the flight path from San Francisco International Airport. Six members of the Paw family, each listing the house at 41 Shelbourne Ave. as their residence, have donated a combined $45,000 to the Democratic senator from New York since 2005, for her presidential campaign, her Senate re-election last year and her political action committee. In all, the six Paws have donated a total of $200,000 to Democratic candidates since 2005, election records show.”- Wall Street Journal

What is interesting is the Paw family history. They all received their social security cards in California in 1982. Since then their voting records have been “sporadic”,

“No one in the Paw family had ever given a campaign contribution before the 2004 presidential election, according to campaign-finance reports. Then, in July 2004, five members of the family contributed a total of $3,600 to the presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, the Massachusetts Democrat.”- Wall Street Journal

OK, so perhaps they suddenly saw the light as a family and decided they had to try to change the world, to make it a better place and that giving oodles of loot to democrats was the way to do it. Maybe it was over a sizzling plate of General Tsu’s chicken with a side of steamed dumplings. But it must have been from the Wok Inn and not PF Chang’s because the Paws don’t seem to be of extravagant means;

“It isn't obvious how the Paw family is able to afford such political largess. Records show they own a gift shop and live in a 1,280-square-foot house that they recently refinanced for $270,000. William Paw, the 64-year-old head of the household, is a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service who earns about $49,000 a year, according to a union representative. Alice Paw, also 64, is a homemaker. The couple's grown children have jobs ranging from account manager at a software company to "attendance liaison" at a local public high school.”- Wall Street Journal

Or maybe the Paws were merely trying to mirror the actions of another American of Asian ancestry, a Mr. Norman Hsu;

“The Paws' political donations closely track donations made by Norman Hsu, a wealthy New York businessman in the apparel industry who once listed the Paw home as his address, according to public records. Mr. Hsu is one of the top fund-raisers for Mrs. Clinton's presidential campaign. He has hosted or co-hosted some of her most prominent money-raising events.”- Wall Street Journal

You see, the federal election laws drastically limit the amounts an individual can contribute to candidates and political parties;

“For the 2008 election, individuals can donate a maximum of $4,600 per candidate -- $2,300 for a primary election and $2,300 for a general election -- and a total of $108,200 per election to all federal candidates and national political parties.”- Wall Street Journal

It all seems confusing, maybe too confusing for news people because they won’t report any of it. But what is clear is that there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that makes it appears there could possibly be some shenanigans going on with the Paws, Hsu and possibly others;

“The Paw family is just one set of donors whose political donations are similar to Mr. Hsu's. Several business associates of Mr. Hsu in New York have made donations to the same candidates, on the same dates for similar amounts as Mr. Hsu………….. On four separate dates this year, the Paw family, Mr. Hsu and five of his associates gave Mrs. Clinton a total of $47,500. In all, the family, Mr. Hsu and his associates have given Mrs. Clinton $133,000 since 2005 and a total of nearly $720,000 to all Democratic candidates.”- Wall Street Journal

Does any of this sound familiar? Do you remember the Buddhist monks and their vast donations to Al Gore? How about the Chinese connection to contributions to Bill Clinton’s campaign? Perhaps the soliciting of sexual favors in the men’s room is a little easier for the members of the main stream press to understand so that’s what they report.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out; the Clinton’s are good at muddying the waters and playing the victim whenever any accusations of impropriety are insinuated and directed at them. But this time they won’t be able to blame a vast right wing conspiracy if more facts come to light that implicate them in any illegalities because the Republicans aren’t running against them yet, it is all other Democrats….stay tuned, the silence will be deafening.

SICK HEALTH CARE AND RICH POOR PEOPLE

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

The Democrats want to push comprehensive medical insurance forward as a campaign issue for 2008. I have heard this many times before and most likely anyone elected would never get anything done about it anyways, but it is a good issue for sound bites and it keeps the socialist’s hopes for more government freebies alive. Recently we have heard about the “huge” poverty issue in today’s America; this is tied into the medical insurance “crisis”. So, how big is poverty in America?

The following are facts about persons defined as "poor" by the Census Bureau, taken from various government reports:

Forty-six percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.

Seventy-six percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, 30 years ago, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.

Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than two-thirds have more than two rooms per person.

The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)

Nearly three-quarters of poor households own a car; 30 percent own two or more cars.

Ninety-seven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.

Seventy-eight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.

Seventy-three percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and a third have an automatic dishwasher.”- The Heritage Foundation.

The poverty issue is merely a diversion from the real problems that plague our nation and a smoke screen used to cover the fact that they have no answers for these problems.
So, what about health insurance?

“Nearly 47 million Americans, or 16 percent of the population, were without health insurance in 2005, the latest government data available”- The National Coalition on Health Care

The Democrats say health care is a “right” but where in the Constitution is that right put forth? No where. There isn’t even the slightest hint or the merest mention of it anywhere in there. Has any politician of any ilk addressed the real issue of health care which by the way, isn’t insurance, but the entire system that is too confusing, to expensive and out of control? Nope, their ideas range from laws mandating people buy insurance to total government control of the health care system.

What needs to happen is a return to commonsense. First, capitalism and competition are the only two things that will make health care manageable and affordable. Laws need to be passed to keep the malpractice insurance affordable for doctors. Tort reform limiting the amount a doctor can be sued for would start the process.

Here is an example of a system that would help solve the problem;

Any doctor that treated a patient and billed them less then $1000.00 could only be sued for five-thousand dollars. This would encourage the doctors to keep their prices lower and would lower their insurance premiums. Health insurance would only pay for bills higher than one thousand dollars but that would also make the doctor more liable in a civil case. Still, there needs to be a ceiling for all malpractice suits for all damages.

Doctors need to be encouraged to treat patients rather then just refer them. Because a person has an ear ache it doesn’t mean they have to see an ear specialist. The doctors that treat patients and save them money by not just pushing that patient to some other doctor will be more desired as a physician thus encouraging competition. People will seek the best doctor at the lowest price if they are forced to personally pay the costs up to one thousand dollars. If a physician doesn’t have to worry about being sued to the extent of losing everything, he will be more willing to actually treat a patient.

There should be a system in place for the neediest of Americans who are unable to pay for medical care but this can’t become a huge government give-away that will spiral out of control and cause inflation in medical bills. Another government bureaucracy controlling health care would be a disaster. Less government involvement rather then more is the solution. Do you want the same people who work at the department of motor vehicles running your health care?

More personal responsibility for ones health care costs, lower insurance premiums for both the patients and the doctors and common sense in dealing with treatments would repair a medical system that is superior to any other in the world but far too costly. Now all we have to do is get past the insurance lobbyists, the tort lawyer lobbyists and the greedy politicians willing to take donations from anyone with enough money and we can fix this system.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS, A MYTH IS JUST A MYTH

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

The left and now some segments on the right, paint our efforts in Iraq as futile. They support the strategy of surrender by means of a continuous propaganda campaign and the media in compliance with this effort, will only report negatives from the region. They berate the President to set a time table for withdrawal even before the report about how the surge is working comes out. It won’t matter what the report says, they will twist facts, omit positives, embellish negatives and blatantly lie to push forward their agenda. You may wonder why I would believe there is such an effort; it is because the left has done this before and very successfully with help from a compliant media.

After Vietnam, the left and the media would have the world believe the war was devastating not only for our country but forever scarring those that fought in it. The truth be told, our soldiers that served so gallantly and the veterans of the war are shining examples to all Americans. Here are some facts that contradict the lies put forth about our Veterans and the Vietnam War;

“91% of Vietnam Veterans say they are glad they served

74% said they would serve again even knowing the outcome

There is no difference in drug usage between Vietnam Veterans and non veterans of the same age group

Vietnam Veterans are less likely to be in prison - only 1/2 of one percent of Vietnam Veterans has been jailed for crimes.

85% of Vietnam Veterans made a successful transition to civilian life.

Vietnam veterans' personal income exceeds that of our non-veteran age group by more than 18 percent.

Vietnam veterans have a lower unemployment rate than our non-vet age group

87% of the American people hold Vietnam Vets in high esteem.

2/3 of the men who served in Vietnam were volunteers. 2/3 of the men who served in World War II were drafted…. Approximately 70% of those killed were volunteers.

During the first 5 years after discharge, deaths from suicide were 1.7 times more likely among Vietnam veterans than non-Vietnam veterans. After that initial post-service period, Vietnam veterans were no more likely to die from suicide than non-Vietnam veterans. In fact, after the 5-year post-service period, the rate of suicides is less in the Vietnam veterans' group.

86% of the men who died in Vietnam were Caucasians, 12.5% were black, 1.2% were other races.

Servicemen who went to Vietnam from well-to-do areas had a slightly elevated risk of dying because they were more likely to be pilots or infantry officers.

Vietnam Veterans were the best educated forces our nation had ever sent into combat. 79% had a high school education or better.

There were almost twice as many casualties in Southeast Asia (primarily Cambodia) the first two years after the fall of Saigon in 1975 then there were during the ten years the U.S. was involved in Vietnam.”- vhfcn.org

These facts contradict what the left, the news media and even the Hollywood film industry would like you to believe.

The left can call Iraq another Vietnam because they have twisted the truth about that war. The United States never lost a battle there. We left Vietnam because the left politicized it and used it to gain support. History is repeating itself; the Democrats and the media want to gain power by portraying the defeat of our country through lies and propaganda. Some people might call this deceptive, I call it treason.

IS IT HOT IN HERE BECAUSE NO ONE CARES

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

Summers are hot. I have known this since I was old enough to know anything. So, why is it that all the news broadcasts on the radio today started with a story about how hot it is across the country? I heard that there were possibilities of record heat hitting major metropolitan areas, I heard how farmers are worried about their crops and I heard advice on what we should do if we get too hot. The best story of all was how we all should learn a lesson from the smart chess players who were in a park in Philly and knew enough to play in the shade. Brilliant.

I am sure the heat is being played up largely in part to push forward the global warming myth. Live Earth, the flop of a concert that was supposed to be the show-case spectacular as a follow up to Al Gore’s insane comedy “An Inconvenient Truth”, proved that most people either aren’t buying his tripe or they don’t care;

“The estimated 2.7 million viewers was slightly under the 3 million viewers NBC has averaged on Saturday nights in the summer with repeats and the Stanley Cup hockey playoffs on what is already the least-popular night of television.”-hollywoodreporter.com

Either way, it is a good sign of the return of common sense.

Al Gore has taken a natural phenomenon, climate change, and tried to restore his political life with it by blaming humans for its occurrence. He has no real answers for real problems, so he takes up a cause that is ambiguous and entirely fictitious and makes himself the hero of it, trying to garner support from the half-wits who actually listen to his mindless dribble. Does Al have answers for any of the real crises that face the world? Not that I have heard.

Al Gore isn’t unique in what he is doing. The politicians leading our country today are all avoiding meaningful issues and instead they are making headlines by doing nothing. Democrats are starting inquiries, to the tune of 300 in 100 days, into issues that are unimportant to everyone. Republicans are telling us we need immigration reform desperately and are putting forth no legislation for it. Meanwhile, Rome is burning and the modern day Nero’s are fiddling “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”.

So, as the radio spewed out the mindless banter about how hot it is today around the country, I spent a little time reading this;

“…..official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old. As LT David Wallach interpreted the man’s words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, “What did he say?” Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al Qaeda served the boy to his family”- michaelyon-online.com

When Al Gore or any politician for that matter, decides to have a concert to raise awareness of the mass of Muslim serial killers known as Islamo-fascists, then I will take them seriously. When will we have a politician that will be brave enough to stand up and talk about the real problems of the world?

John Edwards is going to have a tour to bring to light the poverty that exists in America. Some one should point out to him that America is the only country in the world where the poor are fat and the rich are thin. Why doesn’t Edwards tour the middle-eastern countries where there is real poverty? He has already said that the war on terror isn’t real. So who is cooking kids and sawing people’s heads off?

All around us there are real issues that need to be discussed. Everything from social security reform to fighting the war on terror needs to be dealt with by our political leaders but they won’t do it. Their own lives are more important then their country. Their own political positions are so valuable that they will do nothing to threaten them. And as we allow ourselves to be anesthetized by a media that would rather talk about Paris Hilton and heat waves and that pushes issues that are meaningless like global warming and banning cell phones in cars, the real problems of the world grow bigger, unchecked by an un-informed populace and avoided by politicians more interested in their own political hides then their country.

HATE, IT'S NOT JUST FOR DICTATORS ANYMORE

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

Because of Allison, my girl friend, I just spent 3 days and 2 nights in Bar Harbor. My brother Rob and his wife Liz, my son Tom and daughter Margaret who both live in Bar Harbor, my good friend Roland and his fiancée Jill and my parents who are the real reason for the trip and celebration were all there; it was my 50th birthday party. We ate too much, drank way too much, took naps and had a great time without making fools of ourselves. It was truly one of the best times of my life even if my daughter Jodi didn’t come because she was too busy, but I will handle that later.

I explained all this because as most of the group is politically neutral, my parents and I couldn’t be on further ends of the political spectrum, (you may have read my blog about this but if you haven’t check this out;

http://bloggingangry.blogspot.com/2007/05/nicebut-does-it-come-in-pinko.html).

There is no need to explain who is of which political ilk, that isn’t the point here, what is the point is how people of such diverse political views can come together, spend time, and leave without a harsh word. We spent hours together, laughing, talking, riding in the car, eating and even drinking without one word of politics or one trace of disagreement. We have had our share of discussions in the past and they haven’t always been pretty, but with time and understanding there has developed an unspoken agreement, one that exists because we love and care enough about each other that we don’t want to fight. We know there are subjects we are never going to agree on and that talking, debating and arguing our particular points of view is not going to change the other ones mind, so, we don’t discuss them.

The political world has become so hateful. I will admit to having taken part in that hate and can still be somewhat guilty of sarcasm, but with my age has also come the ability to see that hatred is never going to help a cause and can only be destructive to whatever good ideas one may put forth. Real discussion without ambivalence is the only way to debate ideas.

So why do our politicians want us to hate? It is the same reason the terrorists do; to win support from their followers, they use that hate to galvanize their base. Hitler created and then used hatred of the Jews to gain power, the KKK used hatred of the Blacks to keep power and now our own politicians are using hatred to rally people to garner their support, be it for congress, the senate or the presidency. Instead of putting out sane, rational ideas that could bring people together, the politician today would rather point out the failures, real or imagined, of their opponent. Politicians in America will do whatever it takes to win and that should be feared. When one side uses fear and hatred to gain support, the side that has been the brunt of that hatred will become the scapegoat for whatever ills the new majority suffers whether or not they are the causes.

Martin Luther King never spoke of hatred; instead he spoke of hope and love. His dream was to aspire to those things that would bring people together. Martin Luther King would march through streets, hearing the hateful names being yelled at him, feeling the stones and bottles hurled in hatred at him, but holding his head up with pride and dignity because he didn’t hate, he loved. He loved his followers more than he hated those who would do them harm and he let that guide his life. Martin Luther King was a leader of his people, but he was an example for all Americans. And even those that would one day kill him because they feared the power he was gaining should have known that they had nothing to fear from it because with his power came peace and union of different races and religions.

It has only taken me 50 years to come to this conclusion. We have to be able to come together as a nation regardless of our political differences. We need politicians that will bring people together because of their ideas not because of their differences. We don’t all have to come together and sing the song from the old Coca-Cola commercial, something about teaching the world to sing and so on, but we need to be civil even in our disagreements because if we don’t, the hatred that is developing in our country will destroy us.

So, what have I learned in 50 years? Be nice, don’t fight, if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all and it’s really difficult to drink until one in the morning 2 days in a row; it might be impossible for my brother.

DRUGS, GLOBAL WARMING AND THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

The promoters of the concert this weekend, “Live Earth” are hoping to reach two billion people with their global warming message. I personally don’t blame humans for all the problems of the world and especially not for climate change, real or imagined. I couldn’t tell you what Al Gore’s agenda is, though I have a pretty good idea, be that as it may, he seems to have found plenty of allies in the entertainment industry and a majority of the media.

Al Gore’s son was arrested when he was stopped for speeding, going 100 MPH on a freeway around Los Angeles. He also had marijuana, as well as valium, xanax, vicodin, adderall and soma, all prescription drugs he didn’t have a prescription for. The article about the arrest starts this way;

“The 24-year-old son of former Vice President Al Gore was arrested for drug possession on Wednesday after he was stopped for speeding in his hybrid Toyota Prius”- Reuters

Well, at least he was driving a hybrid and although he may have been speeding at 100 MPH and couldn’t have cared less about who he might have endangered with his reckless behavior, he was still aware of the environment and global warming. This is well pointed out in the next part of the article;

“Al Gore III -- whose father is a leading advocate of policies to fight global warming -- was driving his environmentally friendly car at about 100 miles per hour on a freeway south of Los Angeles when he was pulled over by an Orange County sheriff's deputy at about 2:15 a.m.”- Reuters

The story continues and tries to make excuses for the junior Gore;

“In 1989, aged six, Gore almost died when he was hit by a car, and required extensive surgery and physical therapy.”- Reuters

Hmmm, might explain the need for the prescription drugs but not having a prescription for them might be a small problem. Remember the problem Rush Limbaugh had? And he had a prescription for his.

Finally, the article comes to a merciful end, but not before pointing out this little tidbit;

“A spokesman for the elder Gore said he was traveling and could not immediately be reached for comment. The one-time presidential candidate is one of the organizers of the Live Earth concerts taking place around the world on July 7. The concerts are designed to raise awareness of global warming.”- Reuters

Perhaps Al senior should have been watching little Al junior in 1989 and he would never have been run over. Maybe he was too busy inventing the internet. Now, Al senior is out trying to make political hay with his fictitious global warming crap while his druggy son is endangering the lives of innocent Americans. Would it have been wiser for the elder Gore to have paid more attention to his personal life instead of trying to tell the rest of us how to live ours?

The media will whitewash this as it does everything else for the left. This is a perfect example of why we do not need a fairness doctrine. There is balance in the media and unless you are deaf, dumb and blind, to argue that government should be the arbiter to decide where that balance should lie, is merely opening a Pandora’s box of regulations that will eventually end free speech.

And in the end, I am sure Al Gore senior is very proud of his son for being an example for the young people of America; he was driving a Prius.

DECLARATION OF OUR DEPENDENCE

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

The fourth of July is a celebration of the day our country was born. We were like an infant, kicking and screaming our way into the world. 231 years later and we are nothing like what our fore fathers had envisioned. Try to open a business in Maine and you will see what I mean.

Licenses, mandates, regulations, restrictions, and whatever else the city, county, state or federal government wants to through in the way is killing the entrepreneurial spirit of our nation. Tree hugger groups try to stop everything, from the construction of highways to the building of tool sheds just to protect snails and rats. Insurance companies lobby to make insurance coverage mandatory and then price it out of the reach of the small business person. Handicap lobbies push for the passage of laws that force up construction expenses and make building costs prohibitive for the common person. City and town governments pass zoning laws that limit the growth of businesses or ban them altogether. All of this is more busy work for lawyers and adds to set-up costs.

When I opened my first business around 1980, I was fortunate enough to get a lot of good advice from people who had been in the business for years. I opened a 35 seat diner on the working waterfront. I was 23 years old and ready to do whatever it took to succeed. My brother and I worked from 2:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon, seven days a week. I didn’t take a pay check for the first year, instead my wife and I lived off her teaching salary and we ate leftovers from the restaurant. I saved as much money as I could because I knew at some point I would have to move and I wanted to have the cash to do it. I was in for a rude awakening that first year when I had to pay Uncle Sam $10,000.00 in taxes. I was ignorant to the tax system and thought that if I set the money aside and didn’t take it as income, I wouldn’t have to pay as much in taxes on it.

I didn’t realize beforehand just how much money the government took from businesses every month. On the 15th of every month I sent a couple thousand dollars to the feds for payroll taxes and a couple thousand to the state for sales tax. I paid quarterly taxes and license fees and for workers compensation insurance because the government mandated it; thousands and thousands of dollars every year from a 35 seat diner. Was this what our fore fathers had envisioned for us; to be slaves to government, a government that has become so big it has to keep making new laws so all of it's employees will have something to do? There are so many agencies at all levels of government now that people don’t even know where to begin when opening a business. With so many people working for agencies forcing everyone to follow so many regulations, it becomes a maze of confusion and frustration when a person wants to begin a new business or even expand an existing one. It can take months to open a small business and the people that are enforcing all the laws and regulations seem to think business people have bales of money and can just wait to become operational.

A good friend of mine who lives in Cancun Mexico was recently in Maine visiting. I talked to him about the business atmosphere where he now lives. He told me the story of an acquaintance of his that owns a store in a neighborhood in Cancun. He said it was a nice neighborhood, very residential and the store looked a little out of place there but it did a thriving business because the people in the neighborhood appreciated how close in proximity to their homes it was. One day his friend decided to sell liquor in his store. He didn’t have to get a license or even discuss his idea with any government officials, instead, he bought cases of liquor and started selling it; end of story. This whole scenario seems almost unreal to me and it is in today’s America.

Our country is getting very close to losing its true meaning. We still have our freedoms but they are becoming less and less with more and more restrictions on them. The basic idea behind our country was that we would be free to make our lives and our livings, to the best of our abilities and with as few restrictions on them as possible. We are supposed to be able to pursue happiness, protected by our government to do so, but instead the government has become the biggest single road block to that pursuit and has become fat at the cost of every American’s labors, fortunes and freedoms.

I will vote in the next presidential election for the man or woman that not only doesn’t propose any new laws but also wants to start eliminating some of the old ones. Instead of proposing more government with more jurisdictions over our lives, let’s get back to our roots, away from government and free to pursue happiness.

DEMOCRATS IN FANTASY LAND

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

How do I even begin this? Perhaps this quote is a good start;

“All the major Democratic presidential candidates were at Walt Disney World for a forum sponsored by the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.”-Breitbart.com

O.K., now you know the background and can visualize this gathering of smarmy, behind-kissing, baloney spewing, bull-crap artists at a politically correct meeting in a place where fantasy rules. They first attack Fred Thompson, the potential Republican presidential candidate because he dared speak the unspeakable;

“Noting that the United States had apprehended 1,000 people from Cuba in 2005, Thompson said, "I don't imagine they're coming here to bring greetings from Castro. We're living in the era of the suitcase bomb."-Breitbart.com

To which Hillary, the smarmiest of the smarmy says;

“I was appalled when one of the people running for or about to run for the Republican nomination talked about Cuban refugees as potential terrorists,"….. "Apparently he doesn't have a lot of experience in Florida or anywhere else, and doesn't know a lot of Cuban-Americans."-Breitbart.com

Does she think that just because they are from Cuba and they are illegal that none of them are potential terrorists? And what if someone does think there might be some harmful consequences to letting illegal aliens go un-apprehended, does that make that person prejudiced or bigoted towards that whole group? Is she so politically correct that she can’t even think of anyone as a threat anymore? Would it be smart to have a person like that in charge of our country’s security? More hate speech and pandering from a woman who knows no other way of garnering votes. Would we even know this woman if she hadn’t been married to Bill?

And Barrack Hussein Obama wouldn’t be outdone;

“Illinois Sen. Barack Obama defended his vote last year to build a 700- mile fence across the U.S.-Mexican border,….. Obama said, "Do I believe fences make good neighbors and are the right approach? No, I don't believe that."-Breitbart.com

Remember when Kerry said he voted for something right before he voted against it? A blatant case of CYA, otherwise known as “Cover Your A_ _”. It seems to me that Mr. Obama has taken a page from the John Kerry presidential candidate’s play book. Did anyone tell him Kerry lost?

The rest of the democratic political dwarfs continued on in the Disney parade of mental midgets;

“Biden drew applause when he noted that as many as 40 percent of illegal immigrants were not Hispanic” - Breitbart.com (What’s his point?)…..

“Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards told the crowd his rural hometown of Robbins, N.C. was now half Hispanic” - Breitbart.com (Did he say how many were “illegalls”? And was he bragging or complaining? Ice might want to set up an office there)…..

“Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd, fully bilingual from his days as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, cracked up the crowd when he told them, in Spanish, "I'm the only Gringo in the Senate" to speak the language” - Breitbart.com (“Gringo”? Can that be considered hate speech? Just goes to show he might be twice as lingual as the rest of the senate but I think he might be twice as stupid too)…..

“Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich, saying he believed all American children should learn to speak Spanish, gave his closing statement in Spanish while apologizing in advance for his accent”- Breitbart.com (How about Senor Kucinich learns to be an American before he runs for president)....

“New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson…..A fluent Spanish speaker, Richardson called his supporters at the association "Mi gente, mi familia,"—my people, my family…..“I'm not running as a Latino candidate. I'm running as an American governor who is enormously proud to be Latino," he told supporters.” ( His people? His family? Does he want to be president of Mexico or Cuba?)- Breitbart.com

Someone should tell this bunch of two-faced, back-stabbing, anti-American, traitorous fools that 80% of the American population wants a strong immigration policy and NO AMNESTY! Perhaps they all joined together at the end and sang “It’s a small world after all”, perfect for small minded people like them.

A great article for those who doubt the veracity of Al Gore and his global warming crap…..

ARROGANCE OF THE ELITE

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

The resurrection of the “fairness doctrine” debate comes at a curious time; senate members of both parties are licking their wounds over the bruising they took on the immigration amnesty bill. One senator in particular, Lott of Mississippi, came right out and blamed talk radio for the butt-kicking. He is taking the position that he is an intellectual superior to the mind-numbed robots who listen to talk radio and therefore something must be done to quiet those in opposition to his brilliant legislative proposals. As always, those in Washington, isolated from the reality of main-stream America, maintain their elitist attitudes and act as though they know better than the rest of America what is good for the country.

Senator Lott of Mississippi says;

“I’m sure senators on both sides of the aisle are being pounded by these talk-radio people who don’t even know what’s in the bill,”……….. “leadership will have to be prepared to do what needs to be done.”-freerepublic.com
http://gungadinnews.blogspot.com/- June 6, 2007

Senator Diane Feinstein of California says in speaking about the amnesty bill and talk radio;

“This is a very complicated bill,"….. "Most people don't know what's in this bill. Therefore, to just have one or two things dramatized and taken out of context, such as the word amnesty -- we have a silent amnesty right now, but nobody goes into that. Nobody goes into the flaws of our broken system."

The same article goes on to say;

Feinstein said the measure before the Senate "fixes those flaws" but that doesn't get presented on talk radio, which she said "pushes people to ... extreme views without a lot of information."……….. “I remember when there was a fairness doctrine," she said, "and I think there was much more serious correct reporting to people."- http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Top_News/2007/06/24/feinstein_might_push_for_fairness_doctrine/9684/

How can limiting freedom of speech be “fair”? Isn’t the freedom of speech and the right to either agree or not agree and then to have the ability and the right to voice that opinion the ultimate freedom? Freedom is fair to everyone, laws limiting the voices of opposition are unfair and the consummate restriction on freedom and fairness.

The meaning of freedom has been lost in today’s politically correct America;

FREE- “Not imprisoned or enslaved; being at liberty. Not controlled by obligation or the will of another…..Not affected or restricted by a given condition or circumstance…Not subject to arbitrary interference by a government.”-answers.com

FREEDOM- “The condition of being free of restraints…..Political independence….The capacity to exercise choice; free will…The right to unrestricted use”- answers.com

Because the senate was pressured into doing the people’s will by a vast majority of Americans (the Capitol switchboard was overwhelmed and shutdown by a flood of calls from the opponents of the amnesty bill), we now are facing the possibility of a law that would dilute that pressure. This attitude and arrogance of our elected officials is intolerable and unacceptable. Those we have voted into power are now trying to limit our voices; we have to let them know we will never let that happen. Do not let them divide us by making this a two sided political issue. This is an outright attempt to silence everyone of all political persuasions who don’t agree with their elitist legislative proposals. A restriction of freedom of speech is an attack on all Americans, no matter how far left or right they are.

ON THE ROCKS, HOLD THE FRUIT

“Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!”

Choosing between Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama as to which should be the democratic nominee for president is tantamount to having the choice of either lemon juice or lime juice squeezed into my eyes; neither is acceptable. In a news article Barack Hussein Obama may have taken huge strides in proving Hillary to be the lesser of the two citric acids.

A June 23rd 2007 article from Breitbartnews.com titled “Obama Says Some Have `hijacked' Faith” says;

“Sen. Barack Obama told a church convention Saturday that some right- wing evangelical leaders have exploited and politicized religious beliefs in an effort to sow division.”

The good senator from Illinois perceives the “religious right” to be a threat. He goes on to say;

"Part of it's because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right, who've been all too eager to exploit what divides us,"

Mr. Obama doesn’t perceive what he is saying as divisive even when he continues on to say;

"There was even a time when the Christian Coalition determined that its number one legislative priority was tax cuts for the rich,"……. "I don't know what Bible they're reading, but it doesn't jibe with my version."

He wants to use the old tactic of class warfare to coalesce the “have-nots” against the “haves” and rally them as he portrays himself to be a modern day Robin Hood. And who is he using as his Sheriff of Nottingham? The Religious Right. He has determined that the greatest religious threat to America is the call for “tax cuts for the rich” from the religious right. Perhaps the far left does see it that way, but can we afford to have a president who does?

Let’s put a few things in perspective;

1). “Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia……. Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia”.-insightmag.com

2). “most of these schools are financed by the Saudi Arabian government and they teach a Wahhabi doctrine that denies the rights of non-Muslims.” –insightmag.com

3). Barrack Hussien Obama claims in his book “The Audacity of Hope” that "I was not raised in a religious household”, clearly a lie.

4). “When Fox Television claimed in January that he had attended a “madrassa,” his office said: “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim and is a committed Christian who attends church in Chicago.” –commondreams.org

5). “Associated Press has revealed that Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Democratic candidate for President of the United States, attended a Catholic school in Indonesia registered as a Muslim” –bsimmons.wordpress.com

Barrack Hussien Obama can’t seem to get a grasp on his religion, but in 1988, when he first attended Harvard and began his political career, he started his image makeover by joining the United Church of Christ, a liberal, politically correct church of 1.2 million members;

“In 1972, the church was the first to ordain an openly gay man. Two years ago, the church endorsed same-sex marriage, the largest Christian denomination to do so” –breitbart.com

I don’t know what Mr. Obama was doing on 9-11 but it seems he may think the guys hijacking those planes were less of a threat to American society than the religious right. Perhaps Barrack Hussein Obama might identify more with them than he does with people who have Christian beliefs. How would we know? He can’t seem to tell the truth about his religious past and he joined a far left Christian religion as a symbolic gesture.

Mr. Obama is another democrat whose priorities are symbolism over substance. His symbolism is an annoying distraction, but his substance may be a real threat to America.

I'LL GET A PITCHFORK, SOMEONE GRAB A ROPE

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

More proof that the republicans and the democrats have combined and morphed into a mega-party is apparent everyday. The two parties will participate in small skirmishes on the outer fringes of policy making, but on the whole, they have become one; a marriage of power hungry, control seeking, out-of-touch cretins, isolated in their city on the Potomac with nothing in common with average Americans. And when they propose some outlandish legislation that threatens the very existence of our nation and it unites the average Joe’s into an opposition, they retreat into their granite domed bunker and hurl hand-grenades of arrogance loaded with elitist dogma.

Hillary speaks to Code Pink about Iraq and is resoundingly booed, Pelosi runs her pie-hole to a group called “Campaign For America’s Future” a far left pressure group and she gets heckled and hissed and Trent Lott says; “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem”, an obvious salvo aimed at conservatives apposing the amnesty bill for Illegals and inflames the ire of real republicans nation wide. As the democratic run congress makes a mark in political history as having achieved the lowest approval rating ever at 14% and republican leader Bush lingers somewhere in the 29% “job well-done” poll, wouldn’t you think that if the two parties were truly diametrically opposed as they should be, one would come out as at least making 50% of America happy? Nope, they are perceived as the same, deemed as the same and evaluated as the same because they are the same; awful.

Of the three aforementioned politicians, the one that worries me the most is Trent Lott. Here is a quote concerning talk radio he recently made;

“I’m sure senators on both sides of the aisle are being pounded by these talk-radio people who don’t even know what’s in the bill,”……….. “leadership will have to be prepared to do what needs to be done.”-freerepublic.com

What is he trying to say? Does he have plans by means of coercian and legislation to silence people who dare appose him?

Trent seems to think people that listen to talk radio are brainwashed by it but the opposite is true. Talk radio is a forum for ideas and in-depth analysis of what is going on in our country. He doesn’t seem to mind when those on the radio speak in favor of what he wants, but he wants to “do what needs to be done” if there is a backlash on the nation’s airwaves to his idiotic legislative proposals. When politicians like Lott start hinting at censorship, Americans had better watch out.

So now we have a government that is essentially run by one party with goals that will hurt average Americans and we have a “leader” who is hinting at controlling what can be said publicly about said goals. Our Founding Fathers revolted against the British government in order to gain freedom and control of their own destinies. As we lose more and more control of our government and our personal lives every day, can revolution of some kind be that far off?

THE ARTHUR "BOO" RADLEY OF THE WORLD

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

I had no internet today. Unable to connect to the world via the World Wide Web, you will be subjected to my ratings.

The world’s opinion of America is deemed to be mostly negative. This is perhaps true but is most likely overstated by the main stream media. Be that as it may, I contend that if the world does see the United States in a negative light, it is not because we have been to harsh in dealing with foreign nations and peoples, on the contrary, I think it is because we have been too soft.

America is like the big retarded kid, strong, compassionate and concerned that others might view him negatively, so, he does everything he can to be liked. There is no need to go into what America does around the world concerning good-will, that is well documented and unfortunately it has done very little to improve the image of America.

The rest of the world takes advantage of America’s goodwill. Leaders all over the globe would have their people think otherwise, this gives them a common enemy to stay united against and it gives those leaders an excuse for why their people live in third world hell holes. The leaders of these nations rape and pillage their own people but portray themselves as the hero who dares stand up to the lone super power who is making their existences a living hell and he doesn’t have to worry about the big retard getting mad. So what does America do to defend her image? It gives them more stuff in hopes of appeasing. We have treated the nations of the world like spoiled children; act up enough and we will buy you something to keep you quiet or, as in the case of the gentle giant retard who keeps getting “kick me” signs taped to his back, he smiles and keep acting nice to avoid confrontation. This hasn’t worked well to date either for the retard or America.

France is a different story. France is the spoiled rich kid who tries to show how tough he is by picking on the much bigger retard knowing full well that the gentle giant will never fight back.

As long as America allows itself to be pushed around, it will never be respected. We need to start keeping peace around the world not by paying tin-horn dictators bribe money or trying to “negotiate” with gun totting thugs who terrorize the helpless, but with puissance, power, might and the constant threat of using them.

Ever since world war two, we have been satisfied with fighting wars to stalemates. This has set a bad precedence. What incentive is there for two-bit leaders not to stand up to America if we don’t actually threaten them? Even when we finally, after decades of threatening Saddam Hussein, did invade Iraq, twice, we let his own people hang him. We should have done it the first time we went to war with him and we should have done it in a “Mussolini-esq” manner; meat hooks in the center of Baghdad.

Now Jimmy Carter says America and Israel are at fault for Hamas and Fatah killing one another in the Palestinian territory. I guess we just haven’t been nice enough to these reasonable Muslim terror groups so Bush says he wants to give Fatah a few million dollars to help “support” them. Fatah, the former P.L.O. run by Yassar Arafat has achieved political stature and respect from the world because they won the free elections held in Palestine. Now that Hamas has won the majority in the parliament and Fatah holds the presidency with President Mahmoud Abbas', there is a civil war going on and once again we will reward this violence by giving them money; nice retard, go lay down.

The P.L.O. killed murdered, maimed innocent people and terrorized millions until we recognized them as legitimate. Why wouldn’t Hamas do the same thing? We must start acting like a super power and damn the opinions of those who haven’t the courage to stand up to thugs. If we have to kill the killers to stop the killing, then let’s rumble.

OLD NEWS BUT WORTH REVIEWING

http://bloggingangry.blogspot.com/2007/04/revenge-of-nappy-headed-hoes.html

NIFONGED

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

I guess we are supposed to feel sorry for Mike Nifong. The prosecutor who tried to destroy the lives of three young men, forced the Duke Lacrosse coach to resign and caused incalculable harm to the racial climate in the Durham, North Carolina area for his own selfish reasons is now going to be the victim? I don’t think so. He is a narcissistic, selfish bastard that deserves to be imprisoned for a long time.

Attorney Joseph Cheshire defended lacrosse team captain David Evans, one of the accused. He successfully defended Mr. Evans at tremendous cost emotionally and financially for David’s family and he has now seen the disbarring of Nifong. Defense attorney Joseph Cheshire said this concerning Nifong;

"It was a very poignant and sad day because you never want to see a human being destroy himself,"……. "But it was a day that needed to happen for a lot of reasons - not the least of which was to send a message to people that prosecute cases that this activity absolutely will not be tolerated.
I think for the Evanses, they'll now be able to move on. Will they ever forget the horror of this year? No. Will it always be with us in some ways? Yes. But I think we'll be able to move forward."-myway.com

He went on to say;

"Some people will take that as being mean-spirited and kicking somebody when they're down,"-myway.com

I want to assure Mr. Cheshire that no freedom loving, justice seeking, fair minded American will view this as “mean-spirited” or “kicking somebody when they’re down”. On the contrary, I would wager that a vast majority of the people in this country would like to see Mr. Nifong hang for what he did.

He has taken something from these young men and their families that can never be replaced; time. The time they lost from their lives was not just frivolously taken but during the time he took, he put them all through a living hell. Mike Nifong deserves to have his life taken, not his mortality but everything he has worked for just the way he wanted to purposely take everything from those young men and their families. He should have all his assets sold and the proceeds given to the young men to help defray their defense costs. He should lose time from his life by going to prison the way he wanted those young men to go, time equal to what they would have served if they had been found guilty because of Mr. Nifong’s wrongful prosecution of the case. And I propose one more way of punishing this out of control government employee; from now on, whenever someone is wrongfully prosecuted, they will be deemed to have been “Nifonged”. His family name shall forever be disgraced because of this man.

Every time someone in the private sector does something wrong, judges say they need to pay a heavy price as an example for others. Mike Nifong deserves to pay the maximum penalty for what he did; but what price is fair for trying to steal a person’s life?

HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

“Angelina Jolie's Freedom of Press, on Her Terms” –FOXNews.com

This from the same woman who wore a vial of blood around her neck and has “know your rights” tattooed across her back.

“Jolie is touting press freedom these days, playing the widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in a new movie called "A Mighty Heart." –FOXNews.com

Daniel Pearl was the reporter captured by Muslim terrorists and beheaded; the video being shown around the world via the internet. So Ms. Jolie uses the film about a journalist, who gave his life in his pursuit of the truth to push her own political agenda,

“Jolie turns out to be a mighty hypocrite when it comes to her own freedom of the press. Her lawyer required all journalists to sign a contract before talking to her, and Jolie instructed publicists at first to ban FOX News from the red carpet of her premiere.” –FOXNews.com

What a slap in the face to the memory of Daniel Pearl. In her own subtle way, Ms. Jolie is deciding who will report on her and she will censor what they report.

It is time to show these Hollywood elitists what we think of them when they play politics. They have every right to speak their minds and express their opinions but they had better be prepared to face the consequences. It wouldn’t matter who she banned from her press conference, she has shown she only believes in freedom of the press if the press always agrees with her. I propose paying homage to the memory of Daniel Pearl by boycotting this film and hurting Ms. Jolie in the one place she will feel it the most; her wallet.

IF YOU WON'T SPANK ME, I'LL DO IT MYSELF

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

I can understand Hillary Clinton giving up in Iraq; the same woman who looked the other way while her husband bopped half of Arkansas and then shrugged Monica off as a right wing conspiracy has no pride or self esteem. She can accept humiliation as long as it gets her what she wants but Harry Reid, the soft spoken pansy who is also the Senate majority leader, keeps surrendering to anyone he can because he thinks that is what America wants.

“Top US congressional Democrats bluntly told President George W. Bush Wednesday that his Iraq troop "surge" policy was a failure.

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi challenged the president over Iraq by sending him a letter, ahead of a White House meeting later on Wednesday.

"As many had forseen, the escalation has failed to produce the intended results," the two leaders wrote. "The increase in US forces has had little impact in curbing the violence or fostering political reconciliation. "It has not enhanced Americas national security. The unsettling reality is that instances of violence against Iraqis remain high and attacks on US forces have increased. "In fact, the last two months of the war were the deadliest to date for US troops.”
-Breitbart.com

Mr. Reid’s approval rating is 19%,

“That's equal to Scooter Libby and half of Dick Cheney's.” –Glenn Beck Program

President Bush’s approval rating as of June 14th, 2007 stands at 29%, horrendously low and rightfully so and yet his ratings eclipse a Congress that scores a mere 23% in the approval race.

“Amid political gridlock on domestic issues and inconclusive debates over Iraq, the approval rating for Congress stands lower than Mr. Bush's, at 23%. Just 41% of Americans say their representative in Congress deserves re-election, comparable to levels before Democrats swept Republicans out of power in November.”
–Wall Street Journal

We have a Democrat lead Congress that wants to surrender to terrorists and we have a Republican President that wants to give law breaking, illegal immigrants a free ride on the average, tax paying American’s dime; are these people suicidal? Is there a strange, masochistic cult using some sort of mind control device causing our so-called leaders to crave political self flagellation (Thank-you sir, may I have another?)?

At this rate, these people aren’t even going to like themselves. Can a government revolt against itself? We can only hope so.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING

“Grass Roots Roared and Immigration Plan Collapsed”…New York Times, June 8, 2007

A tremendous effort was put forth by average Americans to contact their senators and representatives and stop the amnesty bill for illegal aliens. Of course, Bush says the bill is alive and well but it isn’t. So, did the bill die because of an epiphany by our leaders or because we are a nation of bigots and imbeciles?

The amnesty bill is in limbo because our so-called leaders weren’t able to shame us into feeling bad for people that break our laws, leach off our welfare system, overwhelm our hospital emergency rooms and provide no benefit to our country. As the senators and representatives as well as our president all slapped each other on the back and told each other how they had solved the immigration problem with this bill, the rest of America saw it as what it really was; a ticket to more and bigger problems.

This is a victory for the silent majority that decided not to be silent this time. We won for two reasons; those in power realized they might lose their precious positions of rank and privilege if they didn’t rescind this bill and average Americans spoke up.

Our government is shaking in its proverbial boots today. They have had a wake up call; we are not going to allow politically correct legislation to pass that hurts the majority of Americans. Our elite leaders are going to start doing what is right instead of what they want by jamming it down our throats and bullying us with their comrades in the media. Now it is our turn to keep the heat on them; do not let this end here, email and call your senators, representatives and the President whenever it is needed to keep those in Washington in line. We are the true leaders when we unite. We cannot be passive any longer or we will lose our country to our government. The most important thing to our elected officials is for them to keep their cushy jobs, so let them know if they do the right thing for America they will stay in office, otherwise they will join the rest of us and have to work for a living.

Our leaders are an embarrassment and this is proof……………………………..

KUMBAYA AIN'T ALWAYS A GOOD THING

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

America has been called the “melting pot”, a place where people from all nations can come together and become one prosperous, civil society. Well, that might be a wonderful thing for a country to be but it isn’t for a government. In Washington today, the two major political parties have “melted” into one homogenous pile of ineptitude totally out of touch with the rest of the country.

The Republicans and Democrats are working hand in hand to come up with an immigration bill that will solve the immense illegal immigration problem our country faces. Their idea of fixing it is to make all the Illegals legal. Why don’t they do this for every crime and then our country will be crime free? Bush says it isn’t “amnesty”; what would you call a deal that doesn’t punish people for breaking the law?

When there is a controversial issue like this and there is consensus between the leaders of the two major parties, freedom loving Americans had better start worrying. Bush says the conservatives who don’t back this bill are naïve and the left says those opposing it are bigots. Neither is the case and leaders of both parties know that, so they are working together on an issue, pushing to pass a law most Americans don’t want and they are knowingly lying in the process.

The consequences of passing an immigration bill that doesn’t protect our borders and allows criminals a free pass can not be measured. The seriousness of a government that will unite to pass legislation that will inevitably do irreparable harm to average, everyday Americans is beyond anything any of us can imagine. A “one world” government is the fiction of conspiracy theorists but a one party government is becoming reality that should be feared by all freedom loving people.

AND SO IT BEGINS

"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"

After almost two weeks of negative public reaction to the proposed immigration amnesty bill, the Washington Post comes out with this headline; “Backers of Immigration Bill More Optimistic”. What are these people smoking?

So the politicians are going to lie not only about the bill, the necessity of the bill and the fact that it is amnesty, they are going to start telling us we like getting screwed by it too. Our elected officials and their lap dogs, the main stream press (see this blog for those facts,
http://bloggingangry.blogspot.com/2007/05/nicebut-does-it-come-in-pinko.html)
are going to try another route in their attempt to pass legislation that is going to destroy our country.

Our government leaders are waiting out the resistance and then will pass this law. With a few well placed lies in the main stream press and only using polls that are positive to their side of the issue, the amnesty bill will be pushed through both houses of congress and then signed by Bush. This is propaganda 101 perfected by the Nazi’s and used for half a century by the former Soviet Union; if you tell a lie often enough it becomes the truth. Don’t fall for it.

MAYBE THEY WERE DRUNK THAT DAY

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

In a FoxNews.com story, dated May 10th, 2007, the citizenship status of the six men who were plotting to attack Fort Dix in New Jersey was disclosed. Here is what it said;

“ The six — Tatar, 23; Abdullahu, 24; Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, 22; Dritan "Anthony" or "Tony" Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; and Eljvir "Elvis" Duka, 23 — appeared in federal court Tuesday in Camden and were ordered held without bail for a hearing Friday. Three were in the United States illegally; two had green cards allowing them to stay in the country permanently; and one is a U.S. citizen.”

Three were in the country illegally. In another FOXNews.com story dated May 9th, 2007, it says that the three brothers accused of the terror plot “entered the United States near Brownsville, Texas”. Another quote from that same article says;

“A federal law enforcement source confirmed to FOX News that the three — Dritan "Anthony" or "Tony" Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; and Eljvir "Elvis" Duka, 23 — also accumulated 19 traffic citations, but because they operated in "sanctuary cites," where law enforcement does not routinely report illegal immigrants to homeland security, none of the tickets raised red flags.”

Whatever you want to call these three; illegal immigrants, paperless immigrants, unauthorized immigrants, resident aliens, illegal aliens or undocumented guest workers, they weren’t suppose to be here.

Our government, led George Bush and Ted Kennedy, decided in it’s infinite wisdom that everyone that has snuck in the back door of our country will have the right to stay here; it’s called AMNESTY! Despite the fact that 27% of the inmates in our federal prisons are illegal alien, our government is going to keep them all here. I guess when you live in gated communities and have Secret Service agents protecting you, it doesn’t matter who you allow to run loose on the streets.

Lawmakers are telling us we need to pass immigration reform because there is nothing guiding us in this crisis. Well, I think they might be wrong and we do have a law already in place that if enforced would solve everything;

“Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
• Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
• Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
• Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.

Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.”…… Americanpatrol.com.

We have been betrayed by our political leaders; they have mocked those that have used legal means to live in our country, they have persecuted those who work to protect our borders, they have allowed illegal aliens to flood our emergency rooms and welfare systems and they have allowed criminals to prey upon innocent people. As with the invading barbarians that overwhelmed ancient Rome, destroying their culture and civilization, illegals will do the same to our country, and we can thank our sanctimonious leaders for letting it happen.

LEADERS LEAD WHILE POLITICIANS MAKE EXCUSES

“ Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!”

As President Bush and the rest of our Federal Government continues to betray America on immigration, there is still a hero out there on this front, his name; Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
He is taking the matter seriously and doesn’t try to sugar coat the enormity of the problem. Just yesterday, in a raid on an Arizona “safe house” that harbors illegals, the Sheriff’s deputies, trained in federal immigration enforcement, found fifty-nine illegals and arrested them.

“"Now that we have our deputies trained (in federal immigration enforcement) we're going to concentrate more on these drop houses," Arpaio said. Arpaio said suspects in the assaults and shooting were included in the arrests. No details were available on the shooting or the assaults.”…..The Arizona Republic

The Maricopa county sheriff says that he can handle all the illegals sent his way; he simply adds more tents to his now famous tent city jail site in the Arizona desert and keeps them there. Unlike our elected leaders in Washington who complain that the task of rounding up illegals and deporting them is just too big, Sheriff Joe just does it, no excuses. Sheriff Joe has even told government officials in California to send their criminal over flow to him and he will take care of them too.

So the next time you hear one of our so-called leaders telling us we have to take these illegals in and give them amnesty, remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his realistic approach to solving the problem; round them up and put them in jail. Oh, and Sheriff Joe is backing Mitt Romney for president.
