"Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"
I can understand Hillary Clinton giving up in Iraq; the same woman who looked the other way while her husband bopped half of Arkansas and then shrugged Monica off as a right wing conspiracy has no pride or self esteem. She can accept humiliation as long as it gets her what she wants but Harry Reid, the soft spoken pansy who is also the Senate majority leader, keeps surrendering to anyone he can because he thinks that is what America wants.
“Top US congressional Democrats bluntly told President George W. Bush Wednesday that his Iraq troop "surge" policy was a failure.
Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi challenged the president over Iraq by sending him a letter, ahead of a White House meeting later on Wednesday.
"As many had forseen, the escalation has failed to produce the intended results," the two leaders wrote. "The increase in US forces has had little impact in curbing the violence or fostering political reconciliation. "It has not enhanced Americas national security. The unsettling reality is that instances of violence against Iraqis remain high and attacks on US forces have increased. "In fact, the last two months of the war were the deadliest to date for US troops.”

Mr. Reid’s approval rating is 19%,
“That's equal to Scooter Libby and half of Dick Cheney's.” –Glenn Beck Program
President Bush’s approval rating as of June 14th, 2007 stands at 29%, horrendously low and rightfully so and yet his ratings eclipse a Congress that scores a mere 23% in the approval race.
“Amid political gridlock on domestic issues and inconclusive debates over Iraq, the approval rating for Congress stands lower than Mr. Bush's, at 23%. Just 41% of Americans say their representative in Congress deserves re-election, comparable to levels before Democrats swept Republicans out of power in November.”

We have a Democrat lead Congress that wants to surrender to terrorists and we have a Republican President that wants to give law breaking, illegal immigrants a free ride on the average, tax paying American’s dime; are these people suicidal? Is there a strange, masochistic cult using some sort of mind control device causing our so-called leaders to crave political self flagellation (Thank-you sir, may I have another?)?
At this rate, these people aren’t even going to like themselves. Can a government revolt against itself? We can only hope so.
